We met with South Carolina National Guard Adjutant General Van McCarty and Colonel Michael "Vito" Ferrario, Base Commander of McEntire Joint National Guard Base, during their trip to Washington, D.C. We discussed the current state of both our Air and Army National Guard units. General McCarty and Colonel Ferrario were in the capital to deliver their State of the State addresses to the National Guard Bureau, providing comprehensive updates on our forces' capabilities and needs. Our conversation reinforced our office’s commitment to supporting our brave men and women in uniform and ensuring they have the resources necessary to protect our state and nation.
