Our Office Toured With the National Weather Service
Our office recently had the privilege of touring the National Weather Service (NWS) station in Charleston, gaining valuable insights into their crucial operations. The NWS-Charleston serves 20 counties and marine zones, covering the Lowcountry and extending into southeast Georgia. This dedicated team works tirelessly, providing essential weather, water, and climate information 24/7, 365 days a year. During our visit, we learned about the station's vital role in supporting public safety and economic activities. Their services extend beyond general forecasts, as they collaborate with a diverse range of partners including state, county, and municipal governments, the South Carolina Department of Transportation, the Port of Charleston, and various universities.
