Biden Let Terror Suspects In. Mace Introduces Bill to Kick Them Out

April 3, 2025

Stop Importing Terrorism Act would end DHS’s power to waive terrorism bans and deport those let in under Biden

(Washington, D.C., April 03, 2025) –  In response to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) granting nearly 7,000 exemptions to foreign nationals with potential terrorism-related inadmissibility in Fiscal Year 2024, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) has introduced the Stop Importing Terrorism Act. This legislation seeks to repeal the discretionary exemption authority within the Immigration and Nationality Act allowing DHS to admit individuals who would otherwise be deemed inadmissible due to terrorism-related activities.

By removing this authority, the bill ensures individuals with any ties to terrorist organizations are barred from entering the United States.

"It's unacceptable our current immigration laws permit individuals with known terrorism associations to exploit loopholes and gain entry into our country," said Congresswoman Mace. "The Stop Importing Terrorism Act will close these dangerous gaps and ensure our immigration policies prioritize the safety and security of the American people."

This initiative aligns with the Trump administration's commitment to securing the nation's borders and protecting its citizens from potential threats.

"Under President Trump's leadership, we are taking decisive action to correct the dangerous policies of the previous administration," Mace continued. "The Stop Importing Terrorism Act is a critical component of our broader strategy to restore law and order to our immigration system."
