Concerned Veterans for America Endorses Rep. Mace’s States Reform Act

November 18, 2021

Washington, D.C. - The Concerned Veterans for America (CVA), an organization dedicated to the preservation of freedom and prosperity of military veterans and their families, endorsed Rep. Mace’s States Reform Act. Rep. Mace released the following:

“Caring for our veterans is and has always been an important priority for me. My father, along with many other members of my family, are veterans and I know first hand the struggle and pain they experience. For too long, veterans have been robbed of their well-deserved VA healthcare benefits just because they used cannabis to help with their mental health treatment. The States Reform Act federally decriminalizes cannabis to ensure veterans will not be discriminated against in federal hiring or lose their VA benefits,” said Rep. Mace.“Concerned Veterans for America’s endorsement of the States Reform Act is a significant measure in the advancement of veterans and their well-being.”

“Over the last 20 years, hundreds of thousands of veterans have struggled with life-altering wounds or injuries sustained during deployments in support of the Global War on Terror. Those who risked their lives for our country should not be penalized in federal hiring or denied important health benefits by the VA because they have used medical provider-recommended cannabis to treat service-related injuries. Concerned Veterans for America is proud to support the States Reform Act, which corrects these injustices, and we applaud Rep. Mace for driving the introduction of this important legislation,” said Dan Caldwell, Senior Adviser for Concerned Veterans for America.
