CHARLESTON, S.C., (August 10, 2026) - Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace released the following statement on the renaming of Joint Base Charleston to Joint Base Lindsey Graham, following his passing on July 11:

“Today, Joint Base Charleston officially becomes Joint Base Lindsey Graham, a fitting tribute to a man who spent his life fighting for this base, our state, and the men and women who serve our nation.

“South Carolina lost a giant this year. Every airman who reports for duty here will see the name of a man who never stopped fighting for them.

“Joint Base Lindsey Graham will stand as a lasting reminder of a life devoted to South Carolina and the country he loved.”
