CONGRESSWOMAN NANCY MACE REINTRODUCES THE  STANDING WITH MOMS ACT

January 23, 2025

Legislation will create a resource hub for women in every state to access a comprehensive network of family planning resources

(Washington, D.C., January 23, 2025) – Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) has reintroduced the Standing with Moms Act, an effort to support women and families through the creation of Life.gov, a centralized online resource hub for expectant mothers.

Timed to coincide with the March for Life, this legislation takes pro-life approach to offer women navigating pregnancy and motherhood support all in one place, in just a few clicks.

“Becoming a mother is one of the most challenging and rewarding journeys a woman can take, but no one should have to navigate it alone,” said Congresswoman Mace. “Through Life.gov, we're empowering women with a centralized hub where they can easily find the public and private support services they need—from pregnancy to parenthood. Standing with moms means making sure every woman feels supported, heard, informed, and valued.”

The bill directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish life.gov, a user-friendly public website and interactive portal. The site will provide a comprehensive list of federal, state, local, and private resources available to pregnant women, covering areas such as:

  • Mental health counseling, prepartum and postpartum care
  • Alternatives to abortion and information on child development
  • Financial assistance, education, childcare, and housing resources
  • Legal support, maternal health services, and addiction recovery programs

The legislation also requires the portal to include a feedback mechanism to ensure continuous improvement, outreach via follow-up calls or emails, and multilingual support to meet the needs of every community.

The legislation is endorsed by the National Right to Life Committee and the Abortion Survivor’s Network.
