Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s Office To Co-Host 2025 Lowcountry Service Academy Day
(Charleston, S.C., August 25, 2025) – Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s office (SC-01) will co-host the 2025 Lowcountry Service Academy Day alongside the offices of Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Tim Scott, and Representative Jim Clyburn this September at The Citadel.
This event offers high school students and their families the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from the U.S. Service Academies and to learn more about the application and congressional nomination process.
“The Lowcountry is full of young men and women who feel called to serve our country. They deserve clear guidance on how to turn their calling into a career of leadership, discipline, and sacrifice,” said Congresswoman Nancy Mace. “Service Academy Day opens the door for them to speak directly with those who have walked the path and to learn what it truly means to wear the uniform, defend our freedoms, and serve with unwavering commitment to the nation.”
Representatives from esteemed military academies, including West Point, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and the Merchant Marine Academy will be hosting Q&A sessions with prospective students. This is an opportunity to learn about the application process, life at these distinguished institutions, and what to expect upon entering military service.
“My office is glad to host a Service Academy Day for the Lowcountry alongside the offices of Senator Scott, and U.S. Representatives Mace and Clyburn. South Carolina is full of patriotic, qualified candidates for our nation’s military academies. I am thankful that there is still such a strong desire to serve our great country. It’s my hope these students are able to gain valuable information about the application and nomination process to these revered institutions,” said Senator Lindsey Graham.
“Service Academy Day is an opportunity for students to learn about the extensive educational and career opportunities offered by our nation’s prestigious military academies,” said Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.). “Gaining acceptance to one of these distinguished institutions is a tremendous honor, and the students who pursue this path represent the very best of our nation. I encourage students and parents across South Carolina to take advantage of this opportunity to explore the academies and the rewarding careers available in the U.S. military.”
