July 26, 2022

$8,865,987 was granted to HHI Airport to allow for an expanded terminal building.

Washington, D.C.- Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced it was awarding nearly $8.9 million in federal funding for the Hilton Head Island Airport to expand its terminal building. Rep. Nancy Mace, who supported the project and the airport’s application, issued the following statement:

“Tourism is one of, if not the biggest, industries in the Lowcountry. This grant, to expand the existing terminal at Hilton Head, will allow more people to come to visit, stay, and help grow the local economy,” said Rep. Mace. “I look forward to seeing these expansions firsthand in the months and years to come.”
