H.R. 7909 - The Violence Against Women By Illegal Aliens Act Advances To House Floor

September 18, 2024

(Washington, D.C. September 18, 2024)  — This week, H.R. 7909, the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, advances to the House floor for a vote, bringing it one step closer to becoming law.

“The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act is a direct response to the Biden-Harris administration's failure at the southern border,” said Representative Nancy Mace. Each instance of criminal acts committed by individuals who've entered our country illegally serves as a reminder of the risks posed to our citizens. We're taking a stand where this administration refuses to act to protect women."

Under the proposed bill, aliens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence, or those who admit to such crimes, will be deemed inadmissible to the U.S., and those convicted of a sex offense or conspiracy to commit such an offense will face deportation.
