Mace: Democrats' Union Boss Bill Will Destroy South Carolinians' Right to Work

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) issued the following statement Tuesday after voting against legislation that would crush right-to-work protections across the nation:

"Our Constitution guarantees the right of every American to free association, but millions of Americans are deprived of this right when they’re forced to pay union dues to a union they never decided to join. I believe in every employee's right to not join a labor union or pay union dues if they so choose. Unfortunately, this bill will abolish this right, forcing new annual costs on workers while lining the pockets of union labor bosses. South Carolinians do not want Washington protecting union leaders at the expense of workers and that's exactly what this bill does."
