(Washington, D.C., April 29, 2025)— Today, the Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) will hold a hearing titled “Unlocking Government Efficiency Through IT Modernization.”

Chairwoman Mace will expose how Washington’s waste, incompetence, and outdated technology are draining taxpayers dry, and highlight how President Trump’s America First reforms are finally pulling government IT into the 21st century.

"The federal government blows over $100 billion a year on IT and cybersecurity, and 80% of it is wasted duct-taping broken tech from the 1970s," said Chairwoman Mace. "President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency is taking a sledgehammer to Washington’s IT graveyard, and saving taxpayers billions in the process."
