Rep. Mace Legislative Initiative to Extend Tuition Assistance for Veterans' Families Passes House

May 19, 2021

Washington, D.C. – The U.S. House passed legislation which included Congresswoman Nancy Mace’s (SC-01) initiative to remove the 10-year time limit on college tuition assistance for families of fallen and disabled veterans.

“We owe so much to those brave veterans who sacrificed their health or their lives in service to our country. Removing arbitrary barriers which keep their families from accessing the benefits they deserve isn’t a partisan issue,” Mace said. “I’ll work with anyone and everyone willing to work with me to ensure our veterans and their families get everything they deserve. I want to thank Chairman Takano, Ranking Member Bost, and Rep. Sherrill for working with me to get my bill included as an amendment to HR 2167.”
