Rep. Mace Released the Following Statement on Voting for the NDAA

December 7, 2021

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) released the following statement on the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act:

"It's encouraging to see the House come together in a bipartisan way to give servicemembers a much deserved pay raise and boost our defense budget by $25 billion. This nearly 5 percent increase restores funding necessary to maintain a competitive edge in shipbuilding, procurement and missile defense that will keep America's national security stronger than ever,”said Rep. Mace.

"I am also grateful my colleagues in the Senate kept good on their promises to remove all red-flag language, as I asked them to do in a letter, and a very concerning provision establishing an Office of Extremism within the Department of Defense to unfairly vet our service members for their political views and indoctrinate them with CRT training. Our military must stay focused on the mission at hand, free from Washington's politics.”
