Extends Tuition Assistance for Veterans' Families

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Nancy Mace's (SC-01) bill to remove the 10-year time limit on college assistance for the families of fallen and disabled veterans passed out of the Veterans' Affairs Committee as an amendment to H.R. 2167.

This is Congresswoman Mace's first piece of legislation to pass out of the Veterans' Affairs Committee.

“Americans who serve in the armed forces risk everything to defend our country. When they sacrifice their health or their very lives in the name of freedom, we owe them a massive debt we can never fully repay,” said Mace. "Removing arbitrary time-limits on tuition assistance for families of disabled or fallen veterans isn't a partisan issue. Our veterans sacrifice themselves for all of us, and I'm willing to work with anyone and everyone to address this issue."
