Rep. Nancy Mace Fights To Keep Men Out Of Girls’ Sports At Military Schools

Mace Strikes Against Gender Confusion in Military Athletics

(Washington, D.C., September 4, 2025) – Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) introduced the Protecting Girls’ Sports for Military Kids Act to put a stop to biological men taking away opportunities from female athletes in women’s sports. The legislation ensures female athletes at schools operated by the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) get the fair playing field they deserve.

“Girls should never be forced to take second place to a man cosplaying in women’s sports,” said Congresswoman Mace. “It’s unfair, it’s insulting, and it cheats young women out of the podium, the victories, and the scholarships they’ve earned. This legislation ends the nonsense and makes clear girls’ sports at DoDEA schools are for girls only, period.”

The legislation defines “female sports” as athletic programs reserved exclusively for biologically female students and provides clear definitions of “male” and “female” rooted in biological reality, not woke ideology. It makes clear male students are prohibited from participating in these programs at DoDEA schools worldwide.

The Protecting Girls’ Sports for Military Kids Act builds on President Donald Trump’s executive order “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” which directs the federal government to enforce Title IX protections and withhold funding from schools allowing men to compete in women’s athletics.

Congresswoman Mace’s legislation brings the same common-sense standard to Department of Defense schools, ensuring military daughters are protected from woke policies erasing fairness.
