Washington, D.C. - Today, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC-01), Ranking Member on the Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and Chairman of the Subcommittee Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD-08) held a bipartisan hearing on the developments in state cannabis laws and reforms at the federal level. Rep. Mace issued the following statement on this landmark hearing:

On the one-year anniversary of the introduction of the States Reform Act (H.R.5977), we are taking another important step in the fight for cannabis access,” said Rep. Mace. “Today’s hearing marks a historic moment in time as bipartisan members of Congress come together to discuss the archaic and oppressive cannabis policies holding us back for far too long. We must reach across the aisle to pass common sense cannabis reforms like the States Reform Act.”
