Rep. Nancy Mace Issues Statement After Oversight Committee Issues Subpoena To AG Pam Bondi

March 17, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Mar. 17, 2026) – Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) today issued the following statement after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer issued a subpoena to Attorney General Pam Bondi. She is scheduled to appear for a deposition on April 14th.

This follows the committee's approval earlier this month of Rep. Mace's motion requiring Bondi to appear for a deposition on the Department of Justice's handling of the Epstein investigation and compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act:

"The Epstein victims and the American people have waited long enough for answers.

“We moved to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi because the Department of Justice has not complied with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. They claim all files have been released. The facts say otherwise. Key evidence remains hidden from the public and from victims seeking justice.

"Full transparency is the only way justice can take its course and no one connected to Epstein's global trafficking network gets a pass. No matter your rank, title, or political status, if you were involved, you need to be dragged into the light and held accountable.

"We thank every member who voted for this subpoena and chose transparency over secrecy and accountability over cover-ups.

"We look forward to asking Attorney General Pam Bondi our questions next month and getting to the bottom of this for every victim and every American."
