Rep. Nancy Mace Issues Statement On Vandalism Of Vice President Vance's Cincinnati Home

January 5, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Jan. 5, 2026) — Congresswoman Nancy Mace released the following statement after Vice President JD Vance's Cincinnati home was vandalized overnight:

"We are praying for Vice President Vance and the second family after their Cincinnati home was vandalized and windows were broken overnight. This is horrific and completely unacceptable.

"Having faced similar threats and security incidents, we know firsthand the fear and violation which comes with these situations, not just for the public figure, but for spouses, children, and everyone who calls their house a home. No American family should have to live with this kind of terror, regardless of their political position or party affiliation.

"Thank you to the Cincinnati Police Department for their swift action in taking this suspect into custody. We must be better than this, and we must stand united against anyone who believes political differences justify criminal violence."
