Rep Nancy Mace: I've Held Both Sides Accountable, Clintons Are No Exception

January 21, 2026

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Jan. 21, 2026) - Today, Representative Nancy Mace (SC-01) announced her support for contempt of Congress proceedings against former President Bill Clinton for defying a Congressional subpoena related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

Rep. Mace released the following statement:

"I'm the only member of this Committee who has held people in contempt on BOTH sides. Republicans AND Democrats. If you defy a Congressional Subpoena, you get held in contempt. No one is above the law.

“Let's remember what today is actually about: the victims. Children who were trafficked, abused, and exploited by one of the most prolific predators in modern history. They deserve answers. They deserve justice. They deserve to know the FULL truth about everyone who was involved or had knowledge of what Jeffrey Epstein was doing.

“These survivors have waited years, YEARS, for accountability. And what do they get? Delay after delay.

“I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat. I don't care if you're a former president or cabinet secretary. If you defy a congressional subpoena, there are consequences.

“The victims of Jeffrey Epstein shouldn't have to wait any longer while powerful people play political games.

“This isn't about politics. This is about principle. And it's about finally getting justice for the women and girls whose lives were destroyed."
