Volt Typhoon Cyber Attack is ‘Testing our defenses to prepare for future disruption’ says Congresswoman Nancy Mace

"Today, Volt Typhoon attacked American internet infrastructure exploiting several backdoors. Chinese hackers have burrowed their way into numerous U.S. telecommunications, water and energy companies. In May of this year, we held a hearing to investigate these threats. This latest attack shows China is already testing our defenses to prepare for future disruption. We need action, and we need it now."
