“The bipartisan addiction to reckless spending has put our nation in an extremely precarious financial position. The 1,547 page “CR” would have just made it worse. If Congress can’t agree to a bill that cuts reckless spending, then a partial government shutdown might be the only way to force Washington to get serious about its budget.

We’re also talking about a very short period of time, 30 days.

To Stop Men From Endangering Women In Prisons

(Washington, D.C., December 18th, 2023) – Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) is introducing the Prison Rape Prevention Act today. This legislation bans biological males from sharing women’s prison facilities and ends taxpayer-funded gender-affirming care for inmates.

"Children in residential treatment facilities are subjected to sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, while facility operators profit from a $20 billion-a-year industry funded by taxpayers," said Rep. Nancy Mace. "We co-sponsored the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act in the House, and it passed both chambers. We are taking steps to ensure our vulnerable children are protected from abuse in taxpayer-funded facilities. This isn’t up for debate.”
