100 days in office. Nearly $2 million dollars returned to taxpayers. Over 1,000 constituent cases closed. Over 250 meetings in district. 53 bills co-sponsored. 3 bills sponsored. 1 main priority.

In November, the voters of South Carolina’s First Congressional District elected me as their voice in Washington and to ensure the House of Representatives is working on their behalf. Over these first 100 days in office, every constituent in the district can be proud of the team we have assembled and the hard work they’re bringing to the table.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength, and 2+2 equals 5. George Orwell warned us of doublespeak 72 years ago. Yet today, some of my colleagues on the left and President Biden are using this tactic in a desperate attempt to sell their disastrous "infrastructure" package. One tweet from a New York senator even claimed child care and caregiving are infrastructure.

I have worked as a waitress, became the first woman to graduate from the Citadel, started my own business, and served in elected office. At every level, there were people who viewed me as unqualified, unintelligent, and unimportant, solely because I am a woman.

For decades, Washington acted like they knew better than the American people. Politicians and unelected bureaucrats took voters’ hard-earned money and used it to crush American businesses, keep American workers from moving up, and hinder American families from living their own lives. The perspectives of those outside the Beltway bubble were cast aside and ignored by those elected to represent them.

But over the last four years, Republicans flipped the script.
