(Washington, D.C., March 22, 2024) - Representative Nancy Mace cast her vote against the $1.2 trillion spending bill due to the alarming rate at which we are borrowing—approximately $1 trillion every three months—a level that is clearly unsustainable. Rather than securing the border and focusing on priorities that matter to everyday Americans, this bill squanders taxpayer dollars on pet projects and ideological crusades of the extreme left.
FIRST ON FOX: Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., is unveiling a new bill that would expand federal penalties for video voyeurism, the act of recording someone who is naked or engaged in intimate activity without their consent or knowledge.
Video voyeurism is currently a misdemeanor offense punishable by up to a year in prison and potentially hefty fines. The crime is also currently subject to state laws in places where they existed before the federal statute was passed.
(Washington D.C., 21st March 2024)- Today, Representative Mace introduced a bill aimed at combating the insidious crime of voyeurism. The bill has been cosponsored by Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-07).
The bill, titled the "Stop Victimizers and Offenders from Yielding Explicit Unconsented Recordings Surreptitiously Act of 2024," or the "Stop VOYEURS Act of 2024," seeks to expand the very limited scope of the prohibition against video voyeurism under title 18, United States Code.
