Nancy Mace has formally requested all communications between the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and ICE, including documents related to ICE detainer requests, illegal aliens apprehended by the Sheriff’s Office, and the termination of the 287(g) agreement. The deadline for submitting these documents is October 15, 2024.

The bill passed the House of Representatives with bipartisan support by a vote of 266 to 158 and is now being fast-tracked in the Senate.
