(Washington, D.C., July 22, 2025) – After nearly two decades of bureaucratic delay and resident frustration, Goose Creek is one step closer to getting the ZIP Code it deserves, thanks to the leadership of Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01).

The legislation, which passed the House Monday evening, directs the U.S. Postal Service to assign new ZIP Codes to 66 communities across the country, including Goose Creek, where Mace was raised and continues to represent in Congress.

(Charleston, S.C., July 18, 2025) — Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) announced today a $24,666,750 FY25 Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant awarded to Dorchester County by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The funding will support a major infrastructure upgrade for U.S. Highway 78, enhancing traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and economic development throughout the region.
