She hosted a Cheers with Your Congresswoman event at the Old Oyster Factory on Hilton Head Island.
The Republican representative took questions from constituents about local concerns and asked about national and international issues that matter to them, such as the southern border and the war in Ukraine.
Our office had a productive meeting with Bryan Havir, Assistant County Administrator, to explore ways to enhance constituent services in Dorchester County. Bryan shared ideas for improving community engagement, which we discussed at length. Additionally, we delved into several ongoing local projects that are crucial for the county's development and welfare. During our conversation, we emphasized the importance of fostering closer collaboration between our office and Dorchester County to better serve our constituents.

Pet lovers in Congress are outraged over a new discovery that the Pentagon is reportedly funding painful experimental drug tests on beagles in pursuit of FDA approval of a pharmaceutical.
A White Coat Waste Project (WCW) investigation found that the Department of Defense has spent nearly $1 million on the testing, which runs through July and involves force-feeding dogs large doses of an experimental drug to treat Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
Our team had a meeting with the South Carolina Office of Resilience, we discussed their role in addressing housing recovery post-federal disasters, mitigating future flood risks, and planning for long-term resilience across the state. They outlined their mission and highlighted past successful projects, underscoring their commitment to safeguarding South Carolina's communities. A key topic of discussion was their ongoing efforts and future initiatives to enhance resilience in the face of environmental challenges and natural disasters.
