(WASHINGTON D.C., February 3rd, 2025) —Subcommittee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Government Innovation Chairwoman Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) will hold a hearing titled “Transgender Lab Rats and Poisoned Puppies: Oversight of Taxpayer Funded Animal Cruelty.” The federal government misuses billions of taxpayer dollars on unnecessary animal experiments every year.
This is NOT a joke. The NIH and other government agencies have spent $10 MILLION injecting animals with hormones and performing surgeries to mimic gender transitions. Oh, and it gets worse. You don’t want to miss this.
“This sickening act of cruelty against innocent animals is absolutely unacceptable and must be met with the strongest possible consequences under the law. We thank the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office for their work to bring these perpetrators to justice. Violence like this against our pets has no place in South Carolina. We've always sent a clear message: animal cruelty will not be tolerated. Not now, not ever.”
Escaped primates open can of worms for South Carolina's Alpha Genesis research lab
A door to an enclosure holding 43 of Alpha Genesis’ young female rhesus macaque primates was left ajar on Nov. 6.
With four primates still on the loose after 43 of them escaped on Nov. 6 from the Alpha Genesis Inc. research laboratory in South Carolina, the Low Country facility has come under intense scrutiny.
U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace calls for briefings from two federal agencies that oversee a primate research facility in Beaufort County where 43 monkeys escaped last week. 11 are still outside the facility.
Their escape captured national headlines and generated a slew of funny memes. But Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace isn’t laughing as roughly a dozen rhesus macaque monkeys are still on the lamb after fleeing the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in Yemassee, SC.
