Securing Our Borders

Securing our border is a common sense issue. Our office stands firm against illegal aliens and illegal immigration, viewing it as a critical issue that demands immediate and decisive action. Securing our border is not only a matter of national security but also a fundamental responsibility to uphold the rule of law and protect American citizens. Due to failed policies, every state has become a border state and every town has become a border town. The current administration's policies have failed to address the challenges posed by illegal immigration, instead exacerbating the situation and undermining the safety and well-being of our communities.

The statistics speak for themselves. Over 9 million illegal aliens have crossed our border since 2021, and migrant encounters reached a record high at the end of 2023, with 2.48 million encounters recorded for the fiscal year. These numbers are unacceptable and represent a clear indication of the current administration's failure to control our southern border. From day one, the current administration's actions have signaled to illegal immigrants, traffickers, and cartels that America's borders are open. This has led to over 12 million illegal immigrant encounters and at least 1.9  million "gotaways" since inauguration day, in addition to a surge in deadly drugs flooding into our communities.

Our support for bills such as the Secure the Border Act, Border Safety and Security Act, and Stop Fentanyl Border Crossings Act shows our commitment to securing the border. We are working to end mass refugee camps, pulling funding from sanctuary cities that flout immigration laws, and combating drug and human trafficking at the southern border.
