Jobs & Economy

A strong job market is the cornerstone of an unstoppable America. We get it, and that is why our votes will always put American workers and families first. From our many ports, our local small businesses, and urban development, we will defend your jobs and bring more to the Lowcountry. But jobs are not the only thing that shape our economy.
The current Congress in Washington has failed to end wasteful spending. The national debt is $34,000,000,000,000. Inflation is up. Cost of living is up. The burden of our nation's crippling debt is now being felt by families all across South Carolina. But establishment Republicans and Democrats have done nothing to prevent this. The unchecked spending in the nation's capital has spiraled out of control and we must act now and balance our budget. That is exactly what we will do in Congress.
We will not stand idly by as the Biden administration worsens the economic challenges facing hardworking American families. We will champion policies that lower taxes, alleviate the high cost of living, and provide meaningful change to American families. In our office, the Lowcountry will always come first, as we strive to uphold the values and principles that make our nation great.

(Washington, D.C., June 6, 2025) – Yesterday, Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-1) reintroduced the AI Training Extension Act of 2025, a commonsense, bipartisan bill aimed at modernizing the federal workforce through expanded access to artificial intelligence (AI) training.
We met with Shepards Light, a nonprofit organization working to provide childcare to working families facing financial hardship.
Parents shouldn't have to choose between keeping their job or being able to ensure their children are safe. Shepards Light helps veterans, low-income, and single-parent families provide better futures for themselves and their children.
“Thank you to Chairman Comer for the opportunity to chair the Oversight Committee’s hearing today on the critical role of artificial intelligence in the federal government,” said Congresswoman Nancy Mace. “AI is rapidly transforming the future of our national security and economy, and if the federal government wants to keep pace with President Trump’s vision for a smarter, stronger America, it must know how to use this technology responsibly, securely, effectively, and with purpose, leading the way while protecting the American people.
(Washington, D.C., May 15, 2025) - Congresswoman Nancy Mace introduced the Supporting Equal Access to Tables (SEAT) Act to defend Lowcountry restaurants and small businesses from unauthorized third-party reservation services. These services, often powered by bots, list and resell bookings without restaurant approval, misleading customers and stealing revenue from independent restaurant owners.
(Washington, D.C., February 25th 2025) — Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) voted in favor of the House GOP budget resolution, a Trump-endorsed plan to cut reckless spending, protect taxpayers, and restore economic sanity to Washington, all while advancing key priorities from President Donald Trump’s America-First mandate.
“President Trump’s leadership is once again unleashing American innovation. Apple’s historic $500 billion investment is proof when we put America first, our businesses thrive, our workers win, and our economy soars. Under Trump’s America-first policies, companies are bringing jobs back home, investing in American manufacturing, and driving the next generation of technological breakthroughs.”
