(Charleston, S.C., July 18, 2025) — Congresswoman Nancy Mace (SC-01) announced today a $24,666,750 FY25 Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant awarded to Dorchester County by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The funding will support a major infrastructure upgrade for U.S. Highway 78, enhancing traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and economic development throughout the region. |
Our office regularly writes letters of support, whether it's for local police departments, infrastructure projects, or community programs.
We supported federal funding for the Yemassee Police Department. Helping our communities get the resources they need is just one way we serve the Lowcountry.
Congratulations to Caroline Davey, our South Carolina District 1 Congressional Art Competition winner.
She painted the Old Santee Canal Otter, our favorite among hundreds of outstanding submissions. Her piece now hangs in the hallway of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.
